MANGU SOUTH RALLIES FOR CONTINUITY AS HON. KWARPO GAINS MASSIVE ENDORSEMENT
Hon. Dr. Mathew Silvanus Kwarpo, the Member representing Mangu South at the Plateau State House of Assembly, has continued to receive overwhelming support from key stakeholders and constituents, a clear indication of growing confidence in his leadership and performance. This strong show of solidarity was evident as party faithful, community leaders, and supporters gathered in unity to reaffirm their commitment to his continued representation.
In attendance were stakeholders and people from the ten (10) wards that constitute Mangu South Constituency, alongside former House of Assembly members, APC ward executives, APC Local Government executives, women, and youth groups. Their collective presence not only demonstrated unity but also underscored a shared belief in purposeful leadership and continuity.
Furthermore, various speakers took turns to commend Hon. Kwarpo’s unprecedented developmental strides across the constituency. Notably, Hon. Emmanuel Dakas and Hon. Kyentu strongly affirmed that Hon. Kwarpo deserves re-election. According to them, continuity through a second tenure remains crucial, as it would consolidate ongoing projects and attract even more meaningful development to Mangu South. Consequently, they openly endorsed his re-election bid.
In the same vein, prominent figures including Hon. Nanle Makan, Hon. Dajuma Da’ar, Elder Luka, APC ward chairmen and secretaries, as well as Local Government executives, unanimously expressed their support for continuity. Their endorsement reflects a broad-based consensus among party structures and grassroots stakeholders who believe that Hon. Kwarpo’s leadership should be sustained.
Responding to the overwhelming support, Hon. Dr. Mathew Silvanus Kwarpo expressed deep appreciation to the 120 individuals who came out to sign his nomination form. In his words, “I am a product of grace. My rise is from grass to grace, and you people made it possible.” Moreover, he reaffirmed his unwavering support for the Executive Governor of Plateau State, Barr. Caleb Mutfwang, emphasizing the need for both himself and the governor to be re-elected in order to sustain ongoing developmental efforts across the state.
Importantly, Hon. Kwarpo’s achievements span multiple sectors. In education, he has facilitated the construction and renovation of classrooms, as well as the provision of learning materials to enhance teaching and learning. In the area of empowerment, he has supported numerous youth and women with skills acquisition programs, financial assistance, and startup tools for small-scale businesses. Additionally, in healthcare, he has contributed to the upgrade of primary health centres, provision of medical supplies, and support for community health outreach programs. His efforts in water supply include the drilling of boreholes in communities, thereby improving access to clean and safe water. Beyond these, he has also championed rural electrification projects and supported road maintenance initiatives to improve connectivity within the constituency.
